About FreeBankData

FreeBankData publishes the financial data that U.S. banks and credit unions are required to file with their regulators - for every institution, in a readable form, free.

Banks file quarterly Call Reports with the FDIC; credit unions file Form 5300 Call Reports with the NCUA. Those filings are public, but the official tools for reading them are built for analysts, not the public. This site turns the same filings into institution profiles, rankings, and local deposit-market pages.

What you can do here

• Look up any of the 4,213 active FDIC-insured banks and 4,299 credit unions that filed for June 30, 2026.
• Compare capital, profitability, loan quality and uninsured-deposit exposure on standardized ratios.
• See which banks hold the deposits in your county, and how concentrated that market is.
• Browse the complete list of bank failures since 2000.
